Zombies are OP ATM

I think it's kinda odd how ROTTING CORPSES are capable of running faster than a survivor, I mean maybe just as fast when they're "new" zombies, but faster is just stupid :P

BTW idea: when a survivor is killed by zombies, zombie with survivor skin wich still has all it's items

No issues with the new detection. I aggroed them between the tents in Berezino though. And i only fired my AKM three times!

Question: Do the zombies have more hitpoints now? I had too much ammo (aks-74m) and started clearing small towns instead of running around, and several zombies were not one-shot (they bled on the first shot). Before i always felt like any kind of hit would bring them down. If it's new or not, i like it better this way. (Erm...my, new, suckier aim, if it is not part of the update..)

The AK-74 is not oneshot-kill if you hit the body.

On topic, zombies are still easy as always, unless you need to use an axe due to their glitchiness.

Other than that, just run into a building, let them lineup and headshot them.

Okay. as far as Arma2 goes I'm a complete noob. BUT I've been gaming a long time.

now. I managed to get from Cherno, sneak into the building under construction, take some gear, and make it to Devils castle with no real problems. got armed and made camp out in the wilderness.

now. before that. I logged in the dark, on the coast. dropped prone straight away, stayed prone. and got agro from a zombie roughly 150 meters away. which tbh I find a bit... bullshit.

I think either one of two things needs to happen,1, agro radius while dark needs to substantially drop. or 2. start weapons need to be brought back... or at least some survival basics would help with newbies and the learning curve... give them a hatchet/knife/bottle and matches. wouldn't be game breaking and would mean we could tough it out till morning if needed... or if say you didn't want to go directly into any towns you'd survive for a while eating sheep and making fires etc

just my 2 cents

i think the zeds are really fine: they dont hear anything from your shots if they cant see you and they ignore you nearly completly when they dont look in your direction.

Even if you pull some Zeds: run in a forest and through some bushes or the leafs of trees and go crouching instantly behin ;) works for me just fine if the zed had some distance (maybe because he tried to hit you)

I know it's hard to start out or raid a town now, but it should be hard like that, you should fear the infected. If you want to go into a city and PK people, you should have fear of hordes of infected going after you when you make to much noise. I'm having a blast going into towns and shooting infected off of us when we go on a raid.

Stock up on ammo, be careful, be aware and never be afraid to use your weapon.

Hey Guys,

in my opinion with patch 1.7.2 there are some bad changes with the infected. If it is day it is so frustrated to play. only the night give me a enviroment to play with fun. why...?

its easy... on day you go throu an village or a randome infected spawn point. infected spawn if u are about 200 meter away from that. and every secound time you get instant aggro an spawning infected over 200+ meter. You cant creep through a spawn point with only adding 1 or 2 which is on night no problem. you have to go manmode in and kill all because u add them anyway if you creep throu. which gets me to my next point...

Next BIG fail in my opinion is the respawn of infected. if u raid a village go in there shoot with loud weappons u get the hole village of infected. its ok that is how it has to be but if u kill all of them... ok village is clear now i can loot. NO... RESPAWN! most of the time they respwan while u kill the first group. thas not ok has to be fixed

Zombies are better than ever. They don't have super hearing and they can only see you IF they're looking in your direction.

What's the problem?

^ If anything they're easier too.

Bandits are always the bigger threat anyway

I feel like visibility is increased by 30% now, which isn't much problem (excluding insane aggro on roads and stuff like that, I mean you can aggro something from over 100 meters).And I honestly hate how infected are twice as fast as me. Running through bushes that makes them stop and run repeatedly is a bug in their AI not something positive.

Also to people saying that you can loose zombies by running around corners. How is that helping you if he's 1 meter behind you and keeping up? If there is 20 of them, you will loose some of them but not all of them. You'll still need to kill few of them.

the respawn need some tuning but the general aggro is fine for me. I loose them isanly fast now ;)

BOOHOO, the zombies can see 200 meters in broad daylight. Boohoo, WHY ARE THEY NOT BLIND.

The zombies can hear me running around and smell me in a certain range!? Waaaaaaa, they can hear my gun shots within 200m because sounds only travel 200m!

Was on a 1.7.2.3 server today, zombie aggro seems fine to me. Hell, they were even seriously underpowered.

I was in the International Airfield, blasting zombies with my old M1911 and neither of the zombies around seemed to care.

Try playing at night.

When playing at night they are fucking blind, even if you had flashlight and flares.

in my experience im still finding the zombies to be weak im still able to run around like an idiot looting places not giving little to no thought to the zobies at all

i want to feel my heart beat when im close to a zombie

Guys, are you high or something? Since 1.7.2, zeds are even easier to avoid now. Seriously, I can go right ahead and run through a town, aggroing all zeds on the way, soon to lose them near the buildings...
