oZiix 45 Posted July 10, 2012 I've been reading around the forums people saying that they logged off and logged in another server and there ghillie is gone but they can see themselves in 3rd person again and are not invisible to other players. Also someone else said they just logged off and logged back in and ghillie is gone. Anyone can confirm?
-=seany=- 65 Posted July 10, 2012 Hasn't it been known forever that Ghillie suits are buggy and cause you to end up in the ocean...even before this update?I dunno why ppl are so obsessed with them.Just as a month ago...don't touch ghillie suits unless you don't care what happens to you.... pilot 13 Posted July 10, 2012 All you had to do to keep the ocean bug from happening before was kill a zombie so the hive logs your location Sean, it was never as bad as this.

-=seany=- 65 Posted July 10, 2012 All you had to do to keep the ocean bug from happening before was kill a zombie so the hive logs your location Sean' date=' it was never as bad as this.[/quote']Well, they where known to be buggy, that is why I have always steered clear of them...Maybe it's just knowing more how they work that causes me to be cautious using them. Eg; it's not just a simple skin change, it's an entire player model swap. That is why you get problems with your location, as the game has to swap a new player model into your existing position. But it pretty much says in the manual/wiki not to use them at the moment. If you experiment with known buggy things you are more at risk of some thing like this happening. Again, exactly why I have steered clear of them. The only problem is' date=' he's not in the ocean. He's swimming through the ground.[/quote']If you watch the vid carefully you can see that he does end up in the ocean for a moment...it is just a variation on the existing known bug. (Then we experienced a comms disrupt and I accidentally took a FAL round to the the cranium. But let's not talk about that.)1.7.2 seems to have FUBAR'd them up again. Not that I'm complaining. Could barely find the fuckers most of the time, so it's not a problem for me.If you watch the vid carefully you can see that he does end up in the ocean for a moment...it is just a variation on the existing known bug.If he were in the ocean, he could at least get back on land. We don't even know if he can get out of the ground.
guidez 180 Posted July 10, 2012 Oh, I get out of the ground in the video, it's just took a moment then all my gear was gone :/

I guess I closed the video before it was over. I have a bad habit of that...Well, it does suck. Now it happens instantly, rather than on a relog.
