Looking for someone to walk me through installation, Via steam or skype, Steam is ||M§M|| Business Gecko and skype is poisonoustaco67, i want help from someone who has no problems playing the game, i dont want to mess up :-/

I take it your using steam so I can direct you to this:

1. do this:

Download and install beta patch from http://www.arma2.com/beta-patch.php (Latest patch is in the green field top of page)

If you are met with a "Password screen" then choose the top version on page (Not in the green field)

Go to the Arma 2: Operation Arrowhead directory (for example C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\arma 2 operation arrowhead) and right-click -> edit on .cmd file "_runA2CO_beta.cmd". Search for ":run" near the end of the file. Add ";@dayz" without quotes to "-mod=%_ARMA2PATH%;EXPANSION;ca".

so it will look like this "-mod=%_ARMA2PATH%;EXPANSION;ca;@dayz"

Create a shortcut on your desktop of the file you just edited.

Download DayZ Mod files. http://www.armafiles.info/dayz/

Make a folder named "@DayZ" in your Arma 2: Operation Arrowhead directory.

Inside "@DayZ" folder create another folder named "Addons". It should look like this: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\arma 2 operation arrowhead\@DayZ\Addons

Unpack all DayZ Mod files in the "Addons" folder.

Then run the short cut you made earlier and it should work.

Ohh i installed dayz before i did the beta patch is there a way a can redo it without having to un install?

Just install the beta patch you don't have to redo everything. It doesn't matter what order you install them in just that they are both installed and you modified that file that you made the shortcut out of.

Yes I would redo it. Now all you have to do is delete the @DayZ folder and then recreate it you don't have to try to uninstall the beta because the beta overwrites itself. Just rerun that beta install and continue from there.

Didnt work! Im so mad right now, This is the 5th time ive had to uninstall this game, no matter what i try i always get errors "...something about server keys and having to instal new keys or delete files" Or "You cant play this mission bcause you dont have the content delete.chernus or whatever thehell its called" Im gettin pissed off, no matter what i do to install this mod nothing works, can someone walk me through on skype or steam?
