zeph4zeph@yahoo.com 0 Posted July 9, 2012 Ive been noticing some servers do not stay up long sometimes which cause a conflict in play due to placing items on the ground in order to switch them and bam server is gone shut down... I was on the DayZ LA 20 server today and it was up for bout 40 mins which the above happened.. I was on the same server yesterday and the day before and the server was not up long once again...I think server reliability issues need to be addressed in forth coming really soon, and more options for a player to successfully trade or store their items safely without fear of a server shutdown without warning.. I spent 2 days getting the rare items only to loose them.. Idk bout you but I dont work for free nor do I spend my time playing for a loss having to contend with server administrators, and their faulty servers or what ever the problem is....... Im lost as to weather I want to continue playing, if its really worth spending the time to get rare gear and to keep loosing it so frequently, I feel as if Im running in place in a bad nightmare, and not making any progress in game... But this doesnt seem like a random server restart, in fact Ive been updating and watching the list hoping I can get back in and claim my items for over an hour now, and the server is not in the list.. It just vanished... I just wanted to bring this to developers attention of Dayz.. Most people lately been buying Arma2 and ArmaAO not for Arma, but for the DayZ Mod lol... Kinda leaves us as a customer with the short end of the stick so to speak for an alpha that has no save feature item balance, and server balance with those Admins that apply for a server..Im hoping they do something bout this, so the mod can be more playable in the near future, I really like their concept, and what they have going... Maybe a bank system in towns would help :D or something of that nature, larger back pack slots or stackable items ie. ammo clips and bandages ect.... Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

[/quote']Well, this is true also for the people buying / renting servers for the popular DayZ. Unfortunately the wild growth in servers has it's good points (more available servers to play on) but it surely has it's downside as people try out having their own server and might be dissapointed for whatever reason once it's up and running. This could be because it doens't give them te advantage they were hoping for, they discover they are not allowed to do certain things even if they rent the server, or...?So, the sudden discontinuing of a certain server is something to be expected when the availability of servers 'explodes'.
