how quickly do bodies despawn`?

yes I am sure that this has been asked before, maybe even with the newest update, but I just want to ask it again...

how long does your body take before it despawns? i have twice run from the coast back to my corpse outside of stary sobor only to find that apparently i had already turned into worm food.

In some cases where I have had to kill someone, I found that the body actually disappeared really quickly...maybe 2min after the kill...maybe in the middle of the looting as well.

What is the general experience for both cases here?

I think it's way to fast personally. 9/10 times I'll hear some flies only to have it be nothing because the body de-spawned.

I died in the NW airfield from zombies due to a bad cd key error making me degrade. Once my game was fixed (about 3 hours later) I went back and my body was still there with loot.

(late play no one is on my server at 12 to 2 am really).

Edit:

Also I hide bodies when I am finished looting them. So often times a body can seem to vanish quickly due to body hiding.
