Stry423 26 Posted July 9, 2012 So I just looted a helicopter crash and found myself a gillie and an AS50, from what I've read on the wiki it can use the same ammo as the M107. Is there a difference when using the M107 ammo in the AS50? Also if anyone can give tips on trying to find out the range using milidots it would be great as I don't have a range finder. nivi 4 Posted July 9, 2012 You can use 107 ammo in As50 and its better because 1 round contains 10 bullets instead of 5.

rallye 89 Posted July 9, 2012 Tips? Don't be within at 500m of anything when you shoot it without a plan or someone watching your back. It's that loud.
andb52 12 Posted July 9, 2012 No, it's the same.Find a rangefinder and then you'll be set because you can zero it up to 1500 meters!Otherwise, dots are 100 meter increments.

Wulfear 6 Posted July 9, 2012 There are no 'AS50' rounds. At least, I have never seen any. So you will use m107 mags, or nothing. Those are 10 rounds.

The stopping power is amazing, but the dinner bell downside is definitely one to consider.

break 88 Posted July 9, 2012 Take care of it! I loved mine while I had it. Rangefinders to get the perfect zeroing are important. Its actually quieter than a 107, from distance it sounds like a penny dropping compared to the 107. Try to stay in the 600m/1000m range and you're laughing. If you hit, its the PERFECT anti-disconnect weapon. By the time they realise whats happened they're dead.
takeshi367 1 Posted July 9, 2012 I think you mean clip but is there a difference in damage when using the 107 rounds?I believe you mean Magazine good sir, there is a big difference between the two.but yeah, pretty much, with either of the Big .50's, never shoot them while in a city or within a 500m radius of a city or any zombie spawn. Also, If you shoot the Engine Block of any vehicle in game twice, you'll destroy the engine and put the vehicle to a standstill.Although, you could always hand the AS-50 over to me, since my tent ate mine yesterday :D

It's not like a lee enfield, the sound is average. You won't aggro zombies unless you're like right next to a spawn.

Im assuming they sound pretty much identical. They sound nothing alike. The AS-50 is MUCH quieter to players than the M107. The M107 is like someone shooting an 88 artillery cannon. No exaggeration. I have one. I made a guy disconnect today that also had one. He shot at one of our guys crossing the airfield. Little did he know I was lying in wait. I had no idea where he was, but someone on the other side saw him (forest west of the strip) so I fired a round in his direction just to pose a threat and get him to stop shooting, and sure enough one of my guys said "DISCONNECT!". Funny as hell actually. It's that intimidating, and thats why I like it. You shoot one of those, and it's basically saying "TAKE COVER"
Stry423 26 Posted July 9, 2012 Does anyone have a link or list for the zeroing to use as a reference?
