Changing Name

I know the whole process of player profile etc etc , but if i made a new profile to change the name (i cant seem to change my name of origional character) will it reset me as a new person? or carry me on from my unique id/ip generation?

I think the name of your original profile is tied to the name of your pc. Just use the new profile as your active profile, your DayZ character is tied to your game ID, not your profile.
