All tents and vehicles despawned on server restart

So I stopped my server for 5 minutes today to tweak some settings and when I restarted it all my clans saved tents and vehicles had despawned. I thought that saved items persisted after server restarts... Any light you guys can shine on this would be greatly appreciated.

Also, no tents or vehicles will spawn if you force start the mission.

Sounds good, I'll restart it now. should it matter if several hours have gone by since the previous restart when our items disappeared?

Thanks for the heads up, I will keep that in mind but this was a full stop of the server process via acp.

Just wanted to post an update. I restarted the server and the tents are back. However, the vehicles are gone. Is this a typical occurrence?

Did you hit save vehicle in the drop down menu before the restart?

all vehicules just vanished aswel after a random restart,

and i restarted to server again. as stated above. but they didnt respawn.

so i assume they are gone.

EDIT: vehicules are fine now. the people that told me. werent even close to that base >_> those fools.

Absolutely, they were all saved to the hive before the restart.

These messages are popping up all over the forum, quite frequently the last two days. There might be something going wrong with vehicles/tents on another level?

I don't know, maybe just my impression.

I am on Vilayer as well but I doubt the hosting company has anything to do with it.

It's probably being hit or miss due to the strain on the hive. Tents/Vehicles are loaded from the hive (before or during i don't know) at mission start-up, hence why if you force start the mission you'll be missing tents/vehicles.

I'd say lock the server once you start/restart it and wait for it's status to get into 'playing' then let people in.
