Greatest Glitch Ever?

I haven't seen issue or any threads made about it before. I was in some town in the middle of the map and got overwhelmed by zombies. They broke my legs, knocked me out, and killed me in a few seconds. So I respawned like normal in the same server and came back right near where I died. Full health, all my gear, and everything.

When I turned around I saw a body with an Alice pack and it was mine! Had all my gear on it too. So basically I died, respawned, and came back in the same spot with double the gear because I looted my own body. Has anyone seen this before or had this happen to them?

What's the glitch? You died, came back and looted your own body. The body remains for some 15 minutes or I don't remember how long but anyway, so people can loot it. You're not an exception to people are you?

To the op: It is a duplication bug that was supposed to have been fixed with the last patch although I don't know about spawning at the same spot after you die. I suggest you bug report it on the bugs forum.

Oh, he wrote he "respawned like normal" so I thought he spawned without the gear and then "came back near where I died" mean't he walked there and mentioning "full gear and all" later meant the starting gear :)

Something similar happened yesterday. We killed two fellas near Stary Sobor and one almost immeaditely respawned near his body and started shooting back (so he had his equipment). Quite nasty bug which reminds me we should move this to bug report :-).

Thanks guys. Sorry I'm a forum noob, but how can I move it to bug report? Or do I just recreate it there?

Also, I haven't logged back in since so who knows if I'll still be there next time or if it will get fixed somehow next time I log in and start fresh

It's a known bug, so I am not moving it. But it's just something that happens every now and then. (Now any other mod is free to move it if they feel it necessary.)
