Omni123 0 Posted July 9, 2012 I'm getting this red tint while I'm playing and its extremely annoying. Anyone have a fix? These pictures don't show it very well but for reference I guess. It's way more serious in game, I'm seeing multiple versions of myself and objects and the bar on the side is there. Seems that steam doesn't pick it up very well.Edit: 60+ views and no help D:? Someone must know the answer!
Tallpoppy 19 Posted July 9, 2012 graphics card?also does your 3d resolution match your resolution?
Omni123 0 Posted July 9, 2012 My graphics card is a NVIDIA GeForce GTX 460. My 3d Resolution matches my resolution.
Atom Quark 437 Posted July 9, 2012 In options try changing the memory options from default to high. I know someone with a 460 who had some graphical glitches (not like this) and this fixed it so you can at least try it. It looks more like some of the problems the ATI cards had when ARMA2 was first released. I am sure you have reloaded your NVIDIA drivers or revert back and see if it is a driver issue. Sounds pointless but I would even hit the screen resize button on your monitor.
Omni123 0 Posted July 9, 2012 Tried all of those and it didn't work. I was playing fine earlier but what happened was I was experimenting with higher quality settings and I exited the game. I came back in and it was taking like 20 seconds for it to register that I had placed my mouse over a certain section. It took a very long time to get the framerate back but all the menus were screwed up and so was the tint. Hope that helps in some way.
disorder 344 Posted July 9, 2012 Try VSync turned on. and if you have a LCD flatscreen set to 59hz, then manually set it to 60hz if your monitor supports it.To do that right click desktop and open nvidia control. inside display>change resolution click Customize then Create Custom Resolution on that page set your normal resolution and make sure it has 60 in Refresh rate. And if it already has 60, try the other way lol. The reason I said this, is that some games have problems running in either 59/60hz it depends on game.

disorder 344 Posted July 9, 2012 oh windows 8? Pass you will have to check both nvidia and microsoft forums for anyone else with the issue. Windows 8 could be just buggy, it is a whole new operating system.
Omni123 0 Posted July 9, 2012 Well it was working before. Sucks. I'll just have to keep looking.
GrunDy 4 Posted July 9, 2012 You say it was working fine before you messed with the graphic settings...So it shouldn't be a Win8 issue, then again it could be. Silly question, have you clicked 'Default Settings' ? Only other option would be to reinstall if it did truely work fine before hand.
Disgraced 1123 Posted July 9, 2012 Have you tried creating a new profile in Arma? That resets some things.
Omni123 0 Posted July 9, 2012 Yeah I pressed default settings and it didn't do anything.Tried with a new profile but nothing happened.Damnit I just want to play the game D:. (it's nearly unplayable from my point of view).
Tweakie 199 Posted July 9, 2012 Another silly thing you can try, which might help. When ingame, press "Shift+numberpad Minus" and then type "flush" (there is no prompt). Also, didn't nvidia just release a Win8 Driver?Probably won't work, but might aswell try. Omni123 0 Posted July 9, 2012 Didn't work. If it helps I can describe the problem a bit better. To the left and right of all objects (like my gun) there are blue and red faded "ghost images".Yeah I already got the latest Windows 8 Driver.

Omni123 0 Posted July 11, 2012 (edited) Completely NVM. Turns out when I was dicking around with the settings in game, Nvidia decided to turn on 3d mode. Got it fixed. Edited July 11, 2012 by Omni123
Atom Quark 437 Posted July 11, 2012 Good to see you got it fixed. Guess if we had some blue tint with the red we could have figured out the 3d setting quicker lol.
