Yea I think there some major issues today.. Logged in and then there were no trees or any kind of terrain.. and i can see people from miles away.. i had to log incase someone sniped me..

To fix the loading screen issue, go into your Arma 2 files, find Battleye, open Arma 2 OA files, open Expansions than copy Battleye from Arma 2 into Arma 2 OA Expansions folder.

Hi Kirak, I know it's not my post but I just have a little question, is this method only OK when you have two seperate folders for arma2 and OA in retail versions ? Cause mine is a single folder with both game in.

Same problem as game loads I get a black screen and just says loading.

Same deal. I think that my character data has corrupted. My friend is experiencing the same problem. Just got this game yesterday too and we were having a blast.

if youre using six launcher, close the launcher once you connect to your first server.

after that, use the ingame multiplayer to chose another server if you like.

doing this solved many of my problems.

Same. Using the launcher it connects to the server and I get a final loading screen with a completely black background. Then nothing happens.

I got it to work. I installed the 94700 beta patch from here: http://www.arma2.com/beta-patch.php

and the experiemental 1.7.2.1 patch from dayz: http://dayzmod.com/forum/index.php?/topic/28806-experimental-1721-test-patch/page__hl__+stuck%20+loading%20+screen#entry278236

Then you had to connect to the server with these patches on and it should work.

....well it works on some servers and I can't seem to see or chat with the other players.

Chatting actually works I was using group instead of side chat.
