If you got the game on steam/launch it through steam. when you are holding down W to walk, just bring up the shift overlay, let go of W and then close shift overlay. Voila!

Alternatively:

1. Get a keyboard that you can macro

2. get a macro program

Use a little screwdriver, place it carefully under the "S"-key so the "W"-key is pressed down.

Get autohotkey and press f11 to start the program :)

Seriously though, the fact that some think auto walking would be a useful thing to have says a lot about the mod itself... and a solution. Put more zombies in the wilderness. Problem solved!

you can map it to an analogue axis in arma2 options, i'm using a slider on my hotas. autorun ftw, i loathe nothing more than to hold w on those long walks..
