Food/Drink Mechanics (Linked Threads)

(Ive intentionally lowered the amount of blood ye get back off each food)


Canned Food: Uncooked 100 HP

Cooked: 200HP

Meat: If raw, must be cooked/eaten within 10 minutes or will rot

Raw: 300HP (GOOD chance of becoming ill)

Cooked: 600HP

If cooked is left for longer than 24 hours? (ingame time)

3/4hours? (player time) will rot.

Rotten Meat: Attracts Zeds? Can be thrown like bottles? Or could have flies around it when dropped so that other survivors may think they approaching a survivors body (another distraction/potential trap)


Drinks

Water Bottle: Separate into parts (quarters maybe?) Therefore players could share a water bottle (as would be expected in survival situation) and you could introduce refilling it by rain (would take time to fill, and these quarters would eventually all be filled)

Like this idea, but should really have % chance of infection based on your current level of health

Otherwise I think drinks are fine atm, ive seen some threads about getting a caffeine boost from the cans, but they could equally likely cause you a stitch when running so i feel they cancel out.


FARMING/GATHERING/FORAGING

Essentially this whole thread is a review and accumulation of food/drink mechanics (apologies to anyone who felt their thread was not seen, please post links). Any new thoughts muchly appreciated.
