Installation Help!

Hey Guys,

i know this has probably become tedious for many of you but literally i have tried everything i could think off for the last two days in trying to get this thing to work, ive followed all the instructions but it just doesnt seem to want to play. heres the rundown

basically ive tried using the 6update and 6launcher and the steam install

ive got retail arma 2 and steam OA. on the update at the bottom it says A2 Op. Arrowhead (Combined Ops) 1.60.0.94444

and the icon for the preset is green, when i go to play multiplayer however it says my version is still 1.60 and the icons arent green they are orange question marks, when i click to join a server i join and then it says i have been kicked out ( i redownloaded battle eye several times and it made no difference)

if anyone is out there willing to help me out id be much appreciated and i promise ill try not to turn on you in game :)

Hi,

This issue may be fixed by checking the integrity files of ArmA OA via steam.

Ensure you've launched Arma and OA at least once before trying to launch DayZ through Six Launcher.

orange icons are fine, that's not an issue

try to check your arma 2 OA folder if BE is there, not sure how it works with mixed versions

also, what version do you see on the main game screen (main menu).. although I think that if you had wrong version (old/no beta) you would not be able to join a server at all

well technically i cant even join a server it just kicks me out straight away, the version is .947 so its the latest beta

whats BE btw?

also ive completely started from the ground up and deleted everything and redownloaded it all including SU but still the same issue

Hi,

Try running Steam as an admin. Steam has to edit the registry to apply Arma 2 keys when you run the game. This may not be happening correctly.

This issue can also be fixed by checking the integrity files of ArmA OA via steam, then re downloading 128mb worth of files.

Do not bump your thread in the same day let alone an hour apart.

Install six launcher and let it do all the checking and updating for you, fixed everything for me post 1.7.1.4

remix ive done all of that, checking the integirty thing was the first thing i tried it said it had to download one file and then nothing happened, re did the integirty and it said the same thing

Restart your PC.

Now launch using Six Launcher.

okay just checked up on the SU now its saying dayz is incompatible (black) but the expansion/beta is green

the attached pic shows the six updater with the dayz as black for some reason now

also when i try to join servers it either kicks me out, says that im am missing a file called chernarus( in red at the bottom of the screen) or a popup comes up listing three files that are not signed by a key accepted by the server (air.pbo air3.pbo animals2.pbo

i can play single player just fine, just cant get into any servers, the only thing ive donwloaded as well is the beta and dayz. also i noticed that on the servers it list @dayz and also file called @hive which i dont have could that be it?

Are you sure you're launching from Six Launcher?

Have you launched Arma and OA at all on their own?

im sure, i launched from six updater first and then when that didnt work i did six launcher

yh i launched arma 2 then OA and then Combine ops then installed dayz
