Looking for a partner forum

There has been a recent influx of players who are posting up that they are looking for someone to play with. I've goin threads in just about every forum. Can a new subforum for this topic be created?

I personally think they belong nowhere, because people form groups outside of the game, where they feel safe, and then make no effort to contact others ingame. And if it's your first moments in game, you miss out on the isolation and fear that comes with it. That said, something has to be done about it.

If this is something you believe then you and people like you are why the game is currently is in the state it is.

Your thought, is an immensely horrible way of thinking because at the moment if you were to try to be friendly, you would be killed.

Even unarmed it is still the best way to kill everyone so they do not kill you, no matter the situation, so where would survivor's be able to meet up if it is impossible to ingame?

The forums, but if you remove that, then why even bother wanting to be in a community such as this, it is a waste of time.

Why try to be a survivor when most likely you will be killed many times before meeting another person who takes a chance, even then to those who take chances they are most likely betrayed the first and decide to not take a chance again.

Bandit is truly the easy way, all the loot, none of the risk when dealing with another player.

Simmer down friend, I'm unarmed. I'm not trying to discuss game mechanics here, just suggesting that the forum could use a "looking to group up" area. We have the nemo thread, but I think a sub forum would be more effective, as people could post details in the thread titles.

I too think that players should try to team up in-game rather than on the forum or in chat rooms. Admittedly, I've only managed to team up with three or four survivors since I started playing DayZ, and none of those partnerships lasted very long, due to zombies and hostile players, but I think this is something that will become easier over time, especially if rocket makes more buildings accessible and allows us to use them as bases and trading posts.

What you say is actually correct they should team up ingame, but due to the KoS.

You can not be friend anyone ingame, and I have, and it has failed.

But then looking at the community, its hard to even want to be apart of it.

I'd rather hit myself in the nuts, perhaps twice depending on what I use as they bring me great anger.

Which could only be dispelled with great pain.

People should try actually looking around the forums before suggesting a board that already exists.

Survivor HQ is:

1) Not specifically a "I'm looking to team up" forum

2) Obviously not effective at limiting such threads to that single area

3) Contains the "Finding Nemo" thread, that I mentioned in my posts, but that thread is obviously NOT working as a "I want to team up" thread. A subforum would be much more obvious to new players.
