Zeroing with an AK?

Is this a bug? if not, how do i do it and what is the benefit?

Yes, the AKM can zero. No, it's not a bug - most weapons in RL can be zeroed. In ArmA, however, only the AKM can be zeroed of all the iron-sighted ARs (for some reason or another).

The AKM and the L85A2 AWS are the only assault rifles that can zero in dayz.

Keep the default zero at 300 meters. Anything further away, you'll have time to click up the sights a few notches(PgUP/PgDn). 300 or closer I prefere to hit targets at center mass anyways. With a zero on 300 you might hit your targets higher on 150m range, but if you aim for center mass, you might score a headshot.

Not really worth worring much about the zero, keep it at 300, target center mass.

Just remember default fire mode is full-auto, everytime you switch to the AKM, press F once for semi.
