Map for crashed helis (WIP)

Been working on this map for the locations of crashed helis along with some other good people of this forum. This is a work in progress so don't complain about missing locations. Just leave a pic or detailed explanation of where the heli is and i will add it ASAP. I will be updating this post with every new map so no need to look through all the pages.

I don't believe it will bring more snipers. You have to find the spots first so most of it is running around. It takes a couple of hours to cover most of them. I know this from personal experience several times.

There is a spot RIGHT behind the barracks by those industral buildings I have seen a copter crash at.

Ive also seen one right beside Vybor, right between the long barn and the smoke-stalks.

not really.. you must be new to games if you don't understand people will do everything possible to get the upper hand over someone else - yes some even turn to hacks durr - so it isn only obvious that everything is plotted etc.

If you've ever played WoW - or any MMORPG for that matter - you would know how much data mining goes into that

Aw mad? Look, its a map of all possible locations. Doesnt mean a crashed heli is gonna be at EVERY location. You still have to LOOK for the heli.

Most players will appreciate maps like this so it's good to have them. Whatever is beneficial to most at any given point should be done. Btw, there are quite a few heli crash site maps, have u checked them against yours? You might find a couple of new spots.

How so? Crash sites are randomized even more so than vehicle spawns. This map serves the same purpose as a loot map - here is where shit has a chance to spawn.

This is even better than most loot maps because it deals with a subject that is impossible to exploit. Server hopping crash sites? Yah right. Anyone who follows this map to cover all the possible landings in order to camp them probably has the capacity to search for/snipe them, anyway.

And the purpose of the game is, to paraphrase rocket, to "elicit genuine emotions/reactions from players." How does this defeat that purpose? Does knowing where the chopper may or may not spawn defeat the surprise and tension of looting it? Does it make the hills around the crash site less imposing and the seconds less nerve-wracking?

The fact that most of the loot spawn in NWAF location is stupid, yes with that I agree. Even most of the helis on the map (and ones I've seen in game) are in and around that general area in the map - and trust me, I do shit tons of walking on that game every day

I added in 4 more (Blue circles) 2 at the NW airfield, 1 at Stary, and 1 at Kozlovka.

The one I added the the NW airfield that's furthest NW.. It literally was in the middle of the trees, you could hardly tell it was even there.

I agree. I will also encourage any new player to stay away from any maps you can find online.. Discovering stuff on your own can be the most rewarding thing in video games.

why? it puts everyone on equal footing imo. ppl campt these spots and farm them all the time and then hoard them back to there camps.

if you or anyone else want to talk about what defeats the purpose of the game, why is FARMING/CAMPING popular loot areas allowed in the first place?

its kind of stupid that u have to go soooo far northwest to get some of the best military loot in game from the airfield. and what are u rewarded with in ur epically long 1 hour journey from churno to NWAF? a bullet to the head is ur reward cuz asshats camp it. its BS.

so i dont see what the big deal is when maps like these are created. its purely the fault of how the loot and spawn machanic is currently.

lol This turned out fun.

I'm not forcing anyone to look at this map. I'm not saying "go here, heli!." But with all the good loots spawns camped 24/7 AND surrounded by barbed wire, these are the next best places for top notch loot.

If you have a problem with this, report it to Rocket or Anders or someone else who truly has a say in this mod. If any dev even mentions not agreeing with these sort of maps, I will delete it in a heartbeat. But until then, deal with it.
