New Gun Idea: The HK MK23

The HK MK23 is a pistol that was used by US Special Forces, it is chambered in .45, a mag capacity of 12 rounds, and is a very durable gun, like one of the tests that it underwent to be adopted was that, for 96 hours straight, it was put in saltwater that also had sand in it, and it was swished around in it, and yet it still worked, and also this gun had like 6,000 rounds put through it 2 or 3 times, I'm not sure if they did that after the saltwater and sand thing, and this gun was being developed around 1991-1996, so I think that could work with the DayZ timeline. How I think it should work in game is having it be a rare gun, like LAR level rare, but it would hit like a truck, like it would hit harder than an FX. Also it should be very modular, as the gun IRL is able to take a variety of attachments, and it should be very durable, due to the test it survived when undergoing military trials. 

 

Also, honorable mention for a pistol that would be cool to have but probably won't get, is the FN Five-Seven, and I think it won't get added cuz it was invented around 1998, so I think that's a little bit late for the game's time sadly.

Visually and gameplay wise I don't see how it would be any different than the FX45. Both look similar and both use .45.

If we had to get another .45 gun, I would vote for a .45 revolver.

Main issue is the ammo. As the name indicates it shoots 5.7, adding a new ammo type just for a single gun isn't ideal. I would rather see 7.62x25 pistols/smgs.

.45 ACP revolver would be awesome, especially if recoil was increased for most guns

Yeah I would also like a .45 revolver, and I think that a good option for that would be the .45 revolver that the US used during WW2. Also  that's another reason why I think we won't get the Five-Seven. And yes we should get a Tokarev and a PPSH
