I was thinking that...

..the Bandits, you know you're trying to give guns to Survivors to fight Bandits wouldn't that make it just as easy for the Bandits themselves to get guns (interrupted) because if you're opening this market up for the just plain Survivor then, the average Survivor is not going around looking for a gun it's the average Bandit that's going around trying to find any weapon he can so it'll just make it twice as easy.

Maybe if you're a bandit you spawn with no weapon but a true survivor with no murders gets a gun at start. This could be justified as if he was a trustworthy person. In every TV series & movie when you meet a new guy you don't give him a weapon. If he turns out to be good he gets a pistol. Same thing with spawns would be kewl :)

And that's one of the big arguments the police have, most survivors keep their guns by their beds mostly likely, so a bandit come in, rob your house and it gets into the system that way... The bandit system.

But what's the chance that Mayor Dinkens who can't even keep Elektro's streets clean I fucked your mother up the ass.

I don't think any rewards or penalties should apply. Its that freedom aspect that everything should be equal at start. It gives your individual character a story as you attempt to gear up. No one likes it, but accept your going to die in Dayz. Don't Alt-F4.
