Steam vs retail...if it's even retail

So I looked at the pc section and found Arma 2: CO for about 650 nt (about 22 usd) on sale. Was thrilled till I realized this is in fact the first time I will be buying the disk version of a game. Is that what retail means? I checked the cover (in Chinese) doesn't mention steam anywhere at all. Will this version work with the mod? :huh:

Pls educate me about steam games and retail games because I am a newbie at that

As long as you have a proper CD-Key for the game you should be fine. Just download the game + SixLauncher, follow instructions and you should join us all in the looting and surviving soon :)

Retail is the version that you buy in stores and shit, and yes it will work.

Everything will be done right through SixLauncher, Once you install it, everytime you wish to play DayZ you just have to open Six, and click on the server you wish to join. from there is simple buisness
