Dead Body De-Spawn Timer?

Hey guys

I've tried searching for the answer but nothing conclusive so far.

When you die how long does it take for your dead body/gear to dissapear? I've had to before where 30 mins later i run back and my body is there! However i've had it where i died near my friend and they've said the body has dissapeared after 5 minutes.

Is there a time limit for the body to stay there? Does that time depend on how many dead zombies are around or somthing as it seems to differ?

Any info on this would be appreciated then i will know weather or not its worth my time running back to my body or not in future :]

i think it's random. I've seen them stay for over 20 min and for less than 5 >_

Search function FTW, dude.

Tents: 7 days (reset on use) / 3 days (after owner death)

Cars: 2 days (reset on use) / 24 hours (if outside map)

Loot piles: 30 minutes

Player bodies: 15 minutes

Zombies: 5 minutes

15 mins isn't true though, it depends on players in the area I think. I saw a dead guy on the ATC at NWA, and he was there for a lot longer than 15...

Server might have something to do with it? I JUST killed a bandit from about 50m outside of Vybor and when I went to check his body, I could hear flies buzzing but there was no corpse. That was in the span of about 30 seconds. This is the first time I've ever had that happen, but all my other player kills have been from point-blank. I'm pretty sure he left the server after I killed him, so maybe that made his corpse despawn.

All they have to do is log out of the server and the body disappears instantly....needs fixed big time.
