[1.5.7] Incorrect log-in location

What happened: When i logged in it spawned me inside a building model under the floorboards and it was nowhere near where i logged out which was 6km away from where i spawned.

Timeline of events before/after error:

-x5 Attempting to connect to different servers resulting in "waiting for server resposne" and then timeouts to the timeout forrest (1-3h)

- Attempted to connect to RU5 and manage to get in fairly fast

-spawns in a house model under the floor boards

-attemptes to get out of the house with no luck as the 3d model have completly boxed me in with solid transparent walls

-disconnects from RU5

-attempts to connect on Virigina 12, "Waiting for server response"

-Attempts ot connect on Virigina 11, suceed but is still under the floorboard of the same building

-disconnect and bug report on the forum

as per http://dayzmod.com/forum/showthread.php?tid=3064 all locations were reset due to a DB issue.

Happened to me twice, first time spawned somewhere on the coast, immediatly took a hike back to north to get out of Makarov nuts. Second time spawned after server restart with a survivor infront of me, gunned him down, poor lad didn't have any chance with his Makarov against my DMR.

Probably what happened is you logged into server running 1.5.6.

I did this on accident on RU1 or RU2 and it spawned me in Novy Sobor. I was in a wall too. I logged out when the screen told me the version mismatch and I then logged into a 1.5.7 server. Was fine after that.

Well I havent connected to any 1.5.6 so that is not the problem. and both RU5 and Vir 11 were by the time i connected last time 1.5.7 and today i tried to see if it was fixed, i connected to a 1.5.7 and it did not work.

Again, Devs please you may not have a solution to this bug but atleast move my character out of that fucking house so i can play this mod, PLEASE! just tell me what I need to do or what ever, because this is getting redicelous, i cant play the mod inside a 3D model of a house, zombies cant even kill me in it as i am behind solid walls of the 3d model

Whats the hold-up? You need a screenshot that im really stuck? I just need to be moved out of the building so i actually can play the game, seriously, just change my xyz in my character file, just tell me what you need from me so i can continue to play becaus this is starting to get really pathetic. I reported a bug, i gave the info of the bug, i dont know how it ahppend, i can provide screenshot if you think im just sitting in a house hiding to prove im STUCK, I can give i dont know some form of ID if im beeing told where to find it so you know what character is mine in your database, and then some dev with access can change x,y,z to a location outside of the building model. Im not asking to find what caused the bug as it aparently have only happend to 2 people but dont let me fucking wait for a whole release to be published so you reset all locations like you did in the last update. So tell me what I need to do to let this thing go smoot and fast so i can play the mod that till this point i liked.

Happened to me as well. I just went prone and got out. So if you can't do that, fuck it. Just respawn or have a buddy get on and see if he/she can find you and kill you. I wouldn't expect the dev's to do anything. They have so many other thing's that need doing. More important then this (getting you out of there). Sorry guy. Good luck though :P

Yeah it does, but I'm not sure if it give's you another location or not anyway. I tried it last night a couple of times and spawned in the same place. Not sure if it was the exact same spot, but I was in electro every time. Not sure if you switch servers that changes things either. /shrug

I appreshiate your advice but im not prepared to die with this caracter as a result of a bug that can esily be corrected. This game is about survival and that is why I am playing it. I am okay with a player or a zombie killing me becaus then it is my fault for not have beeing carefull enough but this is a simple techincal issue, and even when the solution of the bug is not aparent it is irelevant as there is a fully working solution that corrects the bug when it happen. I dont mind where they move me, just that they move me so i just can play.

Understood man. So say they move you? And where they move you. There's some fuck somewhere you don't see him and BAM your dead anyway. But wasted all this time (not playing at all) trying to get this done. I'm just saying don't get too attached to things in this game. You'll get disappointed and it's an alpha so there will be thing's that are unavoidable - bug's and whatnot. I'm sure they will get this ironed out at some point. Meaning the spawn point won't be in a model. It's all good. Again, good luck!

as long as they dont intensionally move me infront of a person its all fine and dandy, if i die by a person or a zombie. But im not gonna sucide this character becaus they refuse to just correct a error i were never a reason for. I live by the rules that if you are the cause of a problem then you fix it. especially when its causing more problems for others than yourself. "you brake it, you fix it"

happened to me too, i managed to get out just fine without any damage. spawned inside the wall at a corner of the house, walked out of the house next to the door after attempting to crawl under it and walk into the other walls.
