KA-74USER   41 Posted August 15 this update fucking sucks,  just stop nerfing everything cant carry anything, always sick, no water from cooked foods means going to a fountain like 20 times a day, bottles are not common enough for that problem, new spawn system means we can all link up in a city, kill ourselves 50 times waiting for a town spawn to change. have I had any fun this update? No not finding any canned food anymore, medicals always looted cause players are constantly sick. me and my friends on experimental have had like 0 fun, we were all sick looted 3 northern citys and found nothing in the medical, our run ended in a bunch of "fuck dayz" and suicide. really fucking ruining the game especially for groups, annoying as fuck survival mechanics way too brutal. Everybodys always sick and thirsty, i only ate and drank clean food and water and still wound up throwing up black and dying of thirst they haven't made any changes to encourage players they've just made getting somehere as a group really tedious. i dont know what they want,  but theyre sure slowing down and making the game boring as fuck to anyone with a job 0 fun on update 1.26, i cant believe how fucking stupid the direction of this game is going in. we had no fun, stuck in a loop of being sick and finding water. stuck in a loop being a freshie, the impression im getting is the devs hate pvp, they want everybody to be a freshie forever struggling for survival, slowing the game down changing what it is into something super fucking boring with no banditry or clans
Pyongo Bongo   240 Posted August 15 I really like this update. I have not been struggleing at all. But I have been playing regularly for over ten years and know everything, so I can't speak fro normal players xD I like the more realistic carry space in clothes, it was a little bit ridiculous how much you could stuff in your pants and jacket. 1

I also play with 1 - 3 friends sometimes who also know the game for many many years. If you have enough DayZ-Freak knowledge it really is impossible to die from sickness or hunger/thirst. We never get sick because we know every single sickness and how to avoid it. Don't eat with bloody hands, only use disinfected bandages, only drink water you know is clean from a container that was empty when you filled it or was disinfected. Don't drink gasoline or eat raw meat xD That's pretty much all you have to do to never get sick. Except for a little harmless influenza sneeze sometimes.  It is pretty much impossible to die of dehydration if you: know exactly or look up where every well is, drink til full and then travel from well to well. You can drink faster with a bottle. And if you find chlorine you can also just fill up at any random pond you see inbetween. If you really want to be safe carry a full bottle on you when you leave the well (I never even do this).  A fully functional fishing rod can now be crafted within minutes pretty much anywhere, so even food is nowhere near an issue. You are always within a few minutes of a source of water and fish, so even if you suddenly became red thirst/hunger you could fix it soon before you died.  I don't know about the randomly sick and puking part. It could be a new bug, but 99.99% of the time there have not been "random" sicknesses in DayZ ever. It's mostly people getting 100% predictably sick for a very certain reason, one of the sickness-inducing things I listed at the start. Or and evil secret poisoner in the group 😄 (this actually happens often) Edited August 15 by Pyongo Bongo

Must have accidentally eaten with bloody hands or consumed dirty water. Or there is an evil poisoner in the group 😄 Cholera and Salmonella cause that "take more than two bites you have to puke" behaviour. If it's salmonella you moan. If you don't then it's cholera which only comes from dirty water. Do you empty your water bottles you find before refilling them with clean water? They spawn with cholera inside. I just ate two ROTTEN apples and a disgusting rotten mushroom I found on exp and I am completely fine, also ate a bunch of dried ones. Rotten fruit and mushrooms are fine to eat.
