Hatchet

I picked up a hatchet, but I can't use it as melee weapon. Why?

It's in my inventory and I can't equip it nor move it to my weapon slot.

What's the problem?

You have to reload it. Press R then you can use it. This is fixed next patch.

Right-click on the smaller icon of the hatchet on your toolbelt (the lowest two rows of inventory slots) and select 'Remove from Toolbelt'. This should equip it into your primary slot. Be careful if you already have a primary weapon though! You may lose it by doing this. Now it's equipped you'll need to reload it (it is as stupid as it sounds!) and then you're ready to swing away.

To attach it back onto your toolbelt, simply right-click it in your primary slot and select 'Attach to Toolbelt' (or something similar).
