Recommended Posts

I was wondering what is the definition of a bandit is in this game and what they primarily do day to day.

They kick ass and chew bubblegum. But mostly just kick-ass, because we are all out of gum.

No but we actually kill players and take their stuff. And kill players for fun.

If i think someone is a threat, i take him out. Most of the time i dont take their equip because they are so far away or i have to get away because Z's heard my gunshots.

Does this make me a bandit ? No. Do they think they got killed by a guncrazy psycho ? Certainly.

There's no difference anymore. Every "survivor" is a scared tight-ass douche afraid of loosing their gear. Everyone shoots on sight. The new correct term should be "survivor" not bandit/surv.

Well Kodeth, if you kill only in self defence, you are not a bandit in any way, shape, or form.

First of all, everyone is a survivor, and there should be no distinction otherwise, everyone has his own way to survive and that's that.

What a bandit is known as is someone who survives by killing other players for their supplies

Douches are people who only kill for fun.

Would I be considered a bandit having 10 kills, 1 bandit kill, and 13 zombie kills?

Also... having 1.3k health, and gunning someone down in Elektro with an AK Kobra at point-blank

I generally define "bandit" as someone who will conscientiously see a survivor, take stock of the survivor's gear, and decide "I want his shit" and kill him. Banditry, by my definition, is centered on gear theft and personal gain.

People who kill out of paranoid KoS are just "Cynics"

People who kill for fun are just "Psychos."

Sure, it's not canon terminology, but it helps my rage if I can justify someone's murder.

Actually this naming fit game very well.

Maybe I will change "Cynics" for "Survivalist"

IMO, a bandit is someone who kills or robs for loot. It's not about killing, it's not about fun, it's about getting loot. It doesn't matter how you get it, but it's the choice of loot>everything (Except your group or clan, if you're in one).

There's no point in killing someone with no valuable gear, and if you do you're just a murderer.
