Asking for permission to use the real name of guns

I only found this on google but it states that just asking for permission to use the real gun name for your game is often free from the holders of the copyright as they see it as free advertisement. Might be of interest for you guys to send to emails out for permission. Even if you cant get all the names it would still be cool to get the actual name of the guns. Did you guys at least ask?

Names were changed in the past from originals and also CR-type weapons were presented as precaution.

Free advertisement is only that. For copyright holders advertisement comes either way and so they choose money. Since that's the case its better for game developer to switch a few letters and be done with it. Naming purists can always install some unofficial mods and get what they want without making fuss.

I'm aware that's impossible. You know licenses and etc money stuff. I think that was the k9nd of handling the M4A1 as M4-A1 (by US Parents system M4A1 is AR-15 Carabine, but there's no M4-A1 in real life), same for KAM/KA101/KA74, the rights of Avtomat Kalashnikov (AK, on En that's meaning Kalashnikov's Assault Rifle) is now owned by Concern Kalashnikov (CK), so I guess they will not say: "Ah I see you wish to use AK name in the game, nah it's not a problem use it we don't see any issues in it...", nope, CK will say: "Oh you wish to use AK trademark in the game, it's not a problem here the contract that permits using 'AK' for and pay money for that contract (idk onece or each month) and then we have a deal...".

I didn't seen the restrictions about Mosin 91/30, but the same SKS - is owned by Molot Arms, so go on, go on, go on...

Yes, it's exactly how you say. Names of irl guns are product names, thus you need a contract to be able to use it and avoid a lawsuits.

Yes, but what i am saying and has happened in the past is You or your company ask for permission for the correct names and sometimes they will give them to you for free. Did you ask for the rights or did you assume there would be a price?

Edit- How come you dont get the rights to the guns due to Bohemia being linked with the Arma series. They have some of the right names for some of the guns such as the AKs
