vfxtodd 125 Posted June 2 I know I'm not alone in experiencing Zombies / Infected that seem to have super hearing. Even when crouch walking inside a building or house, I've agro'd Infected. Even when I'm on the other side of a building and out of the line of sight from Infected, I am somehow triggering Infected. Once I snuck out of a building, crouch walking, and about 100 yards away an Infected starts running towards me. I hope they fix this soon.
Noname246 3 Posted June 3 Yes they are super OP right now, noticed it strait after the update, Was at the Zelenogorsk base in the camo building and there were some zeds stuck in the container outside, opening the doors in the camo building was triggering them, sometimes also there are far too many zeds, like the military tents near Gorka there were twelve zeds, usually there are just four or rarely five, needs to be sorted out as it's just unbearable and given that there was no advanced warning of the zeds getting a buff I am going to assume something is broken. Hey, yes for now the AI - Infected improvements have been communicated and put to the backlog. I wouldnt say scrapped but not focus at this point in time. https://dayz.com/article/game-update/1-24-Experimental-Release
nemorus 265 Posted June 5 These "improvements" weren't particularly bad. NPCs aren't zombies but rather infected - its all in lore. People ifected with rage. So they're stronger, faster and their senses are sharper. That is all making sense. People are angry because they want npcs to always be a dumb nuisance that only annoys them a little during pvp situations. But lets get back to the topic... Npcs hear people rummaging inside buildings and also hear doors being open and locked - all that is fine. But there is a problem with balance here as well. You can only open/close doors with full force, making a lot of noise. No stealth option available. The game needs a new system for doors. You click on a door and hold the button. Slower opening/closing means less noise in the process. That's all. That's all it takes.

Astalonte 48 Posted June 8 They changed it and now it s the opposite. They are way much easier than in 1.24 Recently inside the "community" there has been a uproar about a announced change in zombies difficulties. In my opinion it was awesome because it add some more layers of difficulties to the game. Well..., what happened? A bunch of cry babies start complaining and silently the devs made some changes back. Rolled back? Hell no! they made the zombies even easier than in 1.24. They are dumb as fuck now with no issue to sneak or lose them. Why they had to listen to the un skilled part of the community? This game CANNOT be changed according to the console community. It was awesome a week ago now we have dumb version of a survival game. Get a grip people! I hope the devs stop catering to people who play this game like a shooter and cannot improve in basic dayz skills. Sorry If I sound a little bit harsh but it s stupid being the game that is.
Riddick_2K 174 Posted June 8 @Astalonte Meanwhile, who says that you are the "skilled part of the community"?!? And anyway... apart from the fact that I haven't yet fully verified what has changed with 1.25 (I don't have much time to play lately...), but regardless, in my opinion... to have a game more... "plausible"... to a situation like that of the game (pandemic of infected people), the infected should be actually stupider (they have damaged brains) but more dangerous and above all very deadly (they are, in fact, infected and should plague all the attacked). Points of view... everyone has the right to have their say, whether they have 50 hours of play or 5000... No?!?
