How exactly do you get to play the new release DLC frost line?

You wait for it to be released, then you buy and install it... sounds so simple when put like that eh?

All servers are down as of right now. I’m assuming the update is still going on? Would be nice if they would give updates…

Can we PLEASE get an update as to whats happening for consoles, we that have already purchased the DLC are still not able to play due to the servers not being available, we keep getting BIOS errors and "unexpected response format" messages when trying to search for a server.

any feedback would be better than silence, its been hours with no news. (whilst PC are twitch streaming their games i might add)

Hi - to the Mods. Obviously this is a global issue - we get it. Obviously you are working on it - we also get it.

As a request can we get an idea of where the BEST place is to get an update on this situation - reddit, TweXeter, here, your offical website - where is the key place for the console player base to get the most up to date and reliable info from BI???

Just don't want to keep trawling chat rooms thanks.

I found a bug that locks the player on the map and only deletes it from the database to enter the game again 6202.50 / 7396.88

So they deleted my post again snowflake whoever did it. I didnt even curse or say anything slightly harsh. Calling someone close minded gets my comment deleted lol. Yes i called him close minded and said he wants to keep the game stale . Yall wont even let us hash it out. never once did i attack him. Grow up

I didn't say add a trader I said add a forum of currency like money. And I never said run a plant I said get it back to a running state. The challange of getting all the parts together and taking the time to go from town to town hittng a switch . Also could release zombie bears and wolves as a con to it . The game is pvp and it needs depth and life not just walking around finding beans and screwdrivers in peoples homes. Yes we should be able to restore power as it will bring much needed life and goals to the game. You dont have to get it running you can play without it. and whos to say it bring back power to all of the map why not just a few towns. your to closed minded and want to keep the game stale.

Imagine running from people and you hop on a moving train? Or you and your squad using it to move supplies around? Its dayz not fallout dude.

I know its not the same game but rust has so much more only because of the game engine that can be fixed but they are waiting for part 2 because they are afarid to loose mod support and make everyone startover. Aka money. Thats why they are milking ps/xbox players with this "new map"

Rocket had a very specific vision for DayZ Standalone: a huge focus on hardcore survival, environmental storytelling, and the overall aesthetic and feel of the game.
Much of what you've mentioned doesn't fit with the game's original lore.

Many people prefer a different experience, that's where mod support comes in. Some servers, like The Labs DayZ, have completely different gameplay loops.
There's no point in changing the vanilla "experience". That's why projects like Arma 3 Exile exist, and why similar projects could emerge for Arma Reforger and Arma 4.

Regarding DayZ 2, I'd compare it to Hunt Showdown's engine overhaul. Why remake a game when you can continue supporting it?

Remember DayZ Standalone's early access launch? It's hard to imagine the game reaching its current state.
It's made significant progress, there's no reason to stop now.

Bohemia is actively hiring multiple key roles which are directly related to DayZ development.
I'm hoping for a major overhaul of the game once Arma 4 is released and the Enfusion Engine matures.

If such an overhaul breaks mods, so be it. They will eventually get remade, and a legacy branch could be maintained for existing modded servers.
