I’ve only recently decided to play on an official Temporary Server, trying to find an item to bring back to Official Persistent server we play on.

How long do Temporary Servers last for, is there any heads-up when a temp server will shutdown?

Well perhaps it's a kinda rule of life: there's nothing more constant then something temporary 😄

 

How long would they exist unknown till they're gone.

They last for weeks but mostly months. Also, we always notify prior to shutdown of any temporary servers so people have time to move.

Where can I expect notification about shut down of temporary servers?

In the game itself or on the Forum ?

And how much time prior ?

I played on "temporary" servers for a few "Wipes", then I abandoned them only because they were too full (I'm not looking for a fight)... so many, many months.
And I have some, in my browser's favorites (the battlemetrics.com server page) that are still alive after years.

I don't know how early... try to see when the announcements are and when the announced closure is... and make a statistical average.
