Do they exist? So far the only players that haven't killed me have been unarmed. Every other time someone dies in a hail of bullets. Was really hoping to find a survivor or 2 to team up with. :(

Yes, i met two today. however i also met about 10 that tried to kill me(mostly successfully)

Im too weak to shoot them on sight, although i always promise ill start with that after each death :)

Yes they exist, Im one of them. I've experienced the same as you - no intention to kill, they said they were friendly. I let my guard down and got shot in the face amidst direct chat of laughter. This is what causes KOS mentality I'm afraid

I am a friendly survivor. I do not fire unless fire upon. If i see another player I will call out "Friendly" to me, this game isn't about killing other plays but surviving and working together!

Twice now I've ran into players that were better armed than me who didn't kill me, and one guy even let me have an extra pistol that was near him. We looted the place together and then went separate ways. Most of the time that's not the case, but lately I've been running into more nice players.

I've encountered two groups of friendlies, one even gave me their skype info. This is only after spotting them and direct chatting friendly and grabbing my mic. The other group made contact, declared friendly and I went my own way, and about five minutes later on my way up the hill out of Elektro they shot at me (but missed).

It's incredibly stupid to call out friendly at the moment. If I'm just respawning or maybe 30 mins in that's the only reason I'd be where lots of other people are like Elektro or Cherno, so I don't worry much about the risks.

Not once in the many times I've been shot has anyone attempted to make contact with me before they pulled the trigger. I'm not like that and don't care to compromise or become cynical about being friendly. I just want to shoot zombies. I still haven't shot at anyone.

Cheers for repeatedly dead me, but there's still hope in the apocalypse.

I'm friendly but that seems to get me killed 99% of the time. Kind of funny the first two times I played i met two friendly survivors. The other 12 games I have died from shots in the back, shots in the face, one guy even played hurt, i went to help and his buddy shot me. I used to say friendly as soon as I see someone but that only alerts them to my presence and they eventually kill me or shoot at me. I have defended my self and killed 2 people who shot at me while i was running across a field. Unless you know the survivor I would consider them hostile and avoid them if your like me or kill them. Either way thier no good

I'm pretty much always shot at on site.

If the first shot doesn't kill me, I immediately go prone and try to locate my assailant.

Most of the time, they either log out, or I get shot.

Sometimes I shoot them, but I don't want to..

Other times I've met a random player in one of the coastal towns, and they're telling me not to shoot and that they're friendly, sometimes they even need a blood transfusion, and of course, I give it to them.. guess what, only once has a player actually thanked me and gone on his way. I've played for a month, and every single time I try to help someone, I get killed for it.

Anyway tl;dr I'm friendly, but extreeeeemely paranoid. D:
