How do you know if its daylight?

Hi, I cant see anything in the dark don't have night vision and turned up brightness and gamma to try and offset it but its no use.

Is there a way to know beforehand if its dark or light on a server before joining?

The only way to know is to see in the server name if the timezone the server runs on is listed, but not all servers have this and some servers have the wrong timezone listed..

Hmm so what would be an example of a time zone I would look for GMT-8? No idea how this stuff works miss that day in school :)

Also is the time in DayZ real time so if its 8pm would it be 9pm in IRL 1 hour?

If it says [GMT-8], then the server time is 8 hours behind the current time in Greenwich UK.

DayZ run a 24 hour cycle.

The time it is in the country the server is in.

Generally, when it's night in Europe, it's around day time in America. Don't take this as fact.

Your best bet is either to research into timezones (it takes 10 minutes, tops) or just server jump till it's day light!

Filtering the servers by Atlanta or NY or even NJ all east coast times its NOON here now but pitch black on servers :( I guess I have to keep looking or try a UK server maybe its backwards :P
