Each object has advantages and disadvantages, the choice is always personal as the evaluation of the advantages and disadvantages is always personal. Over the years, I myself have changed the "evaluation criteria" of clothes, accessories and weapons, and I have changed the set up not because the characteristics of certain objects have changed, but because my needs and opinions have changed. Its for pvp or save us in case of someone shooting. My question is: the Tactical Vest protect something? I know the plate its the best, but its too much weight, the Press for me its more balanced. Between helmets some sites said the balistic its better, the assault its better, etc...so my confusing its there. and, the metal armor its better then each armor? I haven't even used any helmet for a long time, I find it uncomfortable and useless after so many clashes with the Zs. My choices follow more the load capacity (before) and aesthetics (after). For waterproofing, which is also important, I always make "compromises", since if you are well sated you never have any major problems, except when you swim, but these are rare cases and waterproof hats do not exist anyway. Try watching some Wobo videos. He has made many and, it seems, he also looks into the game code to understand exactly the real characteristics and not "conditioned" by random or emotional events. Xeonmeister 22 Posted July 23, 2023 (edited) Lol. Taking into account bullet protection now means that you play DayZ like it's Battlefield or COD. The platecarrier has the highnest item hp and highest protection (70%) against bullets but it's also the heaviest. The stabvest and pressvest (ballistic?) both have 50% but the stabvest has such low durability that some higher caliber guns can ruin it in one shot. The chestplate also has 45% protection but i wouldn't call that a vest. edit: i forgot the helmets The tactical, ballistic and assault helmet have 75% protection but the assault has slightly higher hp. I think in most cases they get ruined in one shot and you take full damage but i've been able to survive single headshots with an assault helmet on against cr 527 and akms. Also one thing to keep in mind is that if you want a headpiece with best insulation and you have the choice then always go for a tanker helmet instead of an ushanka. The ushanka is just a piece of clothing but the tanker helmet offers a low (10%) protection against projectiles resulting in you being able to survive a single headshot from .22 or 9mm rounds. Some sources say that all military helmets have the same stats for damage and shock reduction some say that the assault is slightly better. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uvXb0HEf-9Q this video states that they are the same, while the wiki does not. Plate carrier is the best of all vests 74% shock projectile reduction, and 75% to all health damage barring the explosives which are at 50% plus it has 100 hp which means it'll tank a lot more damage before being ruined. Press vest and stab vest both have 50% reduction for shock and health but press has 50hp while press vest has 30hp which means it'll get ruined with one high power shot. I have the dayz data extracted to my P drive for modding purposes so i could directly read the stats from the config files. If your main interest is only to arm yourself and protect yourself like a soldier going to war... maybe you've got the wrong game. And the answer he gave confirms even more what I think. That person doesn't give a damn about "survival", just arm themselves and fight against other players...just like Battlefield and COD.
