My friends and I were talking about this recently and it might get some pushback from the community, but we think it’s a good idea.

Current Recipe: Wooden Planks + Nails

Suggested Recipe: Wooden Planks + Hammer 🔨 + Nails

We have hammers for base-building, it’s only logical that hammers, meat tenderizers, hatchets or stones should be used to build Wooden Crates with.

Does it make crafting them a little more difficult? Yeah — but it’s DayZ, a hardcore zombie 🧟‍♀️ survival game!

 

PS: Stones should be a less effective hammer substitute for base-building too!

FYI, pretty much everything can be a hammer. A rock, a prybar a spanner, even a gun can be a hammer. Even your forehead with a helmet on can be a hammer.
