Belt+gas mask?

Honestly it would be cool if they came out with a update where you can put a gas mask on your belt. It MAY sound confusing but just thing about it. If you can put a canteen, knife and a holster on your belt, it'll be nice if you can put a gas mask on your belt.

It makes sense as well. Even if improvised with a rope to create a slot for it. If I was in a situation where a lethal gas can drop on my head at any time I'd have that mask ready all the time. It's not like you get a warning that's it's coming anyway (and yes technically there is a flare, but unless you are outside and you look at the exact right spot at the exact time you'll miss it). And since literally no one is using the portable transmitter they could give it some purpose by implementing a warning announcement broadcast that you can hear if you have one of those.

When I was in the Army we had pouches that strapped to our waist and secured to one leg, kinda like a holster.

Would be cool to have an NBC Mask pouch attachment for our belts in-game.
