Thiago Bassi 0 Posted February 2, 2023 No one listens to me via voice chat anymore, when I switched PCs, I already did everything: I messed with the volume mixer, with the settings. It works perfectly both in discord and in other applications, only in Day Z that when I click to speak through voice chat, nobody hears me.
lemmac 101 Posted February 2, 2023 happens to me... only way it works is setting voice chat to button press and then double clicking to keep voice chat on strangely every time i check the settings again they say i'm back on voice activation, so unless i remember to change the settings when i start a new session the first i know the chat isn't working is when i'm getting killed for having no mic, lol dayz, eh? Tonyeh 454 Posted February 2, 2023 The game needs to go back to the old way of doing voice chat. The old way meant the player was able to double click caps lock and you would have a hot mic, meaning that the mic was always on. In the last patch they changed this. So when you double click caps lock now, it means that you switch to "voice activation", which is different to always on. Supposedly the player's voice activates the mic but it doesn't work satisfactorily, because I find that player's chat gets clipped and you end up not hearing the whole sentence that the player has said. And sometimes you hear nothing at all. At the moment the best way to chat is to use the button press. But that means you have to devote a finger to holding down a button and that can get you killed in certain circumstances.
