how to learn aiming / shooting

hey guys,

whats the best way to learn how to aim/shoot/hit?

does arma II have the same weapons and is the ballistic the same?

what do i have to do to start with most of the dayz weapons available and try them out a bit?

You can play the bootcamp-missions from Arma 2. There are some training missions where you can shoot targets.

Or, you can fire up the editor; place some units + weaponcrates and use them for target practice. I think all the ballistics are the same, but I'm not sure. Maybe somebody else can confirm this?

Armory is also very helpfull. You can train with vehicles, everything.

i found this map for arma2: http://www.armaholic.com/page.php?id=14616 but i cant get it installed, any tips? i moved the downloaded files to the right directory, but where do i load them?

You need to fire up Multiplayer and host a LAN or Internet server.

Just choose the Chernarus map in the maplist, and then find the Range 1.1 on the right.

And it's a good tool you found. Very user-friendly.

strangely theres no chernarus map, only desert zargabad, proving groundsand some others?

Best way to learn how to aim well is just by playing, the main thing you have to keep in mind is bullet drop (:

The installation guide is not correct for singleplayer use. Simply put it into Missions, not MPmissions. Then go into Scenario and load The Shooting Range v1.1. (NOT ACE).
