8up Local 4 Posted October 5, 2022 why can we not just delete our account on this forum? there should just be an option to delete our account if wanted without needing to go through "support" to have it done? last forum i dealt with that was like this i eventually had to have my account banned because there was no way to just delete it. why does bohemia not want users to be able to delete their account if they choose to do so? Hi, by deleting your account, all your posts would be gone too. If everyone would do this, there would be a lot of text that would just make no sense. 8up Local 4 Posted November 16, 2022 (edited) no i do not want to get banned, but if there is no way to delete my account then how? i would ask an admin to ban me if i can not delete. ( i have had to do this on another forum before). also knowing not all forums are the same, but you should be able delete an account without losing the posted made prior. it usually changes the user name to "former user" or deleted account" or similar, instead. it should not delete the posts, many forums i have seen are like this. if posts from deleted users get removed then it is the way it is set up, however in todays times and the way people are i can totally see why a forum would want to delete posts along with their account when it may involve a toxic/unwanted users from the forum. If you don’t want your posts to be seen again then don’t post to begin with! Duh. The moderators don’t care about toxic posters because THERE ARE NO MODERATORS.
