Players paying servers?

I heard that players paying for playing servers are against the rules and you can get in trouble i only ask as a server me and friends played on put alot of money into "Helping" the server grow and to get special privileges to Public mods the servers are all on PC modded servers named Sunnyvale am just annoyed as recently a player broke the rules they had set but this player was favoured by a few of the leading admins rather than allowing me to speak to the owner they got rude towards me and banned me from the server after putting hundreds of pounds towards it, So i ask is it allowed ? Surely they should not be seeming they're corrupt ways and quick to ban players after extorting alot of cash from the dayz branding seems wrong on so many levels?
