Problem HELP ! Hosting local machine server to play online with friends.

Hello, i trying to open a local server on my pc to play with my friends.

I open TCP/UDP port : 2302-2305 and 27016
FireWall disabled
Seeing my server on LAN and Community TAB on server list.
I can join my own server via LAN

BUT WHEN TRYING

via Community TAB i can't! Loading end, with an error message something like : Connection with server failed, unreachable server. Same issue for my friend.

Did i miss something about server

Access to your server depends on your network configuration.

When you start server on "some pc" - network configuration of your pc will determine if apps on your pc (and dayz server is just an app) are accessible and where they are accessible.

By default - your pc (and dayz server running on your pc) is accessible only in local network (LAN) and that's why you are able to connect via LAN.

If you want your pc (and apps running on pc) be accessible "all over the world" (community tab) - your pc should have "global internet ip address" and exactly this "internet ip address" will be used by players (and your friends) to join game.

My global internet ip address appear on community server and is diffirent of my LAN ip server.

It's kind of logical. Did you buy a "white" IP address from a provider? Have you checked port availability, for example via telnet, from a remote PC?

Your serverDZ.cfg is missing a line for steamQueryport, without that the launcher will not see the server and connections will fail.

Add:

steamQueryport = 27016;

somewhere in the file.

It seems like it is not necessary because the server uses this port by default.

At least I did not specify this in the config and I calmly connect to the server via an external IP.

Yes, and the server is displayed in the community tab.

I change server port to 2302 to 2305 and the problem is now solved.
