buff the 45?

The weapons damage remodel a few updates back was a massive improvement. It made all the weapons have their own niche.

 

I do think that the 45 needs rebalancing as its currently the same or less powerful than 9mm which makes the rarer 45 weapons far less useful.

In the old days the fX was the top tier pistol and harder to find as you had to go inland. Nowadays you can get a glock off the spawn and you have no reason to drop it for an fx as the glock is harder hitting, the same mag capacity and easier to find ammo.

The old pistol tier list

IG- bottom of the barrell

1911- smaller mag fed but more damaging rounds

cz75 and glock- decent standard pistol

Magum- massive damage no attachments

fx45- higher damage high end pistol

Desert eagle - high end pistol

 

How it is now

m11- tiny damage but excellent zed killer

IG same role

1911- tiny mag and the same damage as 9mm- it should be better than the p1 and with a damage that still makes you consider using it over a 9mm handgun

p1- Pretty much the same damage as the 1911 but can hold 2 more rounds if chambered

Magnum

fx45- Should be higher but the 9mm values put it here

Glock and CZ

Ditto the UMP was next best thing if you didnt have an assault rifle. It did more damage than the mp5.

Now they do more or less the same damage but the mp5 has 900 rounds per minute fire rate which makes the ump redundant. Having a punchier ump would give you more inclination to wiegh up running a UMP(slower fire rate but heavier hitting) or an MP5( Faster fire rate)

The only cartridge values that need to be changed is the 45 by giving it 5 to 8 more damage per shot
