Hidden message in Livonia archeological site

Recommended Posts

After Buying DayZ Livonia Edition recently, I decided to explore the world to know the game better.

Far from towns and gunfights, I headed to the northern archeological site I noticed on the map I found in a car. Three rows of stones, laying in an order.

Spoiler

I decided to use Morse code to decipher it, where long standing stones would be "-" and small ones be ".".

-- --- ... . .../-.... ---.../..--- ----.

The result is: MOSES 6:2 9.

I checked "Book of Moses" (Book of Exodus) in the Bible and it says:

2 God also said to Moses, “I am the Lord. 3 I appeared to Abraham, to Isaac and to Jacob as God Almighty,[a] but by my name the

Lord I did not make myself fully known to them. 4 I also established my covenant with them to give them the land of Canaan, where

they resided as foreigners. 5 Moreover, I have heard the groaning of the Israelites, whom the Egyptians are enslaving, and I have

remembered my covenant.

6 “Therefore, say to the Israelites: ‘I am the Lord, and I will bring you out from under the yoke of the Egyptians. I will free you from being

slaves to them, and I will redeem you with an outstretched arm and with mighty acts of judgment. 7 I will take you as my own people,

and I will be your God. Then you will know that I am the Lord your God, who brought you out from under the yoke of the Egyptians. 8

And I will bring you to the land I swore with uplifted hand to give to Abraham, to Isaac and to Jacob. I will give it to you as a

possession. I am the Lord.’”

9 Moses reported this to the Israelites, but they did not listen to him because of their discouragement and harsh labor.

Now you guess the rest, it's interesting 🙂

Good luck!

I hope so!

It's so exciting to look for signs and clues, in my opinion . I'm glad that there's more in this game than just hoarding loot and shooting random people.

A map, compass and some reading can explain a lot!

Assuming that my calculations are correct, this might be the place the hidden message relates to.

Am I looking at the correct image? It's a green rectangle with a question mark on it

This is part two of the archeo puzzle.
I assume that those who wanted to try to solve it by themselves already did it, so here is my way.

Disclaimer: All conclusions are based on analyzing a five thousand years old (on average) megalithic construction, which somehow contains a fragment of a two thousand years old (to simplify) book, encoded with a (Morse) code created in the year 1840. Obviously, the results are as strong as the logic behind it  🙂
And If I made a mistake somewhere, then everything is wrong. Feel free to find what's wrong, and lets find another solution.

Noticing some sort of pattern in the way stones were placed in the Northern archeo site was the beginning. Morse code seemed like a plausible solution. The message contained the symbol ":", so this made me sure it was not gibberish.
Then I checked the Eastern site. I tried to find a code in it, too, but all I was able to get out of it, was the axial construction. I started paying more attention to the orientation of the axis.

At first, I thought that the Southern site didn't have an axis, but it does.

I drew straight lines from the sites in corresponding directions, overlaid them on the map, and voila!

The area designated by all four lines seems to be the answer to the Moses' Morse code message, "Egypt sucks, but I'll take y'all somewhere else. Trust me, dude." 😉

(Maybe there are other elements of the lore in the area I'm not aware of, as a new player, so there might be other/more interpretations.)

Sooo... Over four hours ago I wrote a post about how to find the location "encoded" in archeological sites, but it's still not being published by Admins.

It says "Posted 4 hours ago · Hidden".

Hey, I guess you remember me LUL
So, turns out the 4 sites are an Arma III easter egg.
If you draw lines between each of them, they cross straight on that sinkhole, which is where the Contact DLC starts (with the root coming out of the floor and such).

About the message tho, I'm still not sure, but here's what I think it references to:

"Wherefore, they have foresworn themselves, and, by their oaths, they have brought upon themselves death; and a hell I have prepared for them, if they repent not;"

The introduction at the top of the page also mentions Enoch, which is the name of the Livonia map in the files:

"Adam’s seed keep a book of remembrance—His righteous posterity preach repentance—God reveals Himself to Enoch—Enoch preaches the gospel—The plan of salvation was revealed to Adam—He received baptism and the priesthood."

Hi!  \o

As I mentioned in my invisible post five hours ago, we are analyzing a five thousand years old megalithic construction, containing a fragment of a two thousand years old book, encoded using Morse code from 1840. So... we can't be serious 🙂

Joining the sites was the first thing I did, I checked the sinkholehole and its surroundings, including the fallen chimney (there's a bugged tile inside of the top part). So yes, I've been there too.

But there's something else. Someone who designed and placed the megalithic sites, chose the axial design, which means they can be oriented. Because exactly that was their original purpose, and that's why there were built for (astronomy etc).

So I noted their orientation and overlaid the lines on the map. Two of the lines are parallel (or almost, hard to say using in-game compasses), so I doubt it's accidental.

The lines designate an area. That's my interpretation.

BUUUT if all this is bullshit, which is possible, then using this kind of megaliths and placing them on the map is just wrong.
It's like putting an arrow, and not expecting people to look in that direction.

I'm making a video on these stones.

The north and south eastern one are both pointing at the sun. One during sunset on the longest day of the year, and the other at noon duing the shortest day of the year.
The southern one is just an axis to point at the sinkhole, but the western one i think is a key part. It obviously has a direction, and it kinda points toward the circle, but not completely.
My theory is that it indicates the origin of the aliens from the Contact DLC:

Spoiler

At the end of the DLC, the aliens project a series of images into the main characters brain. One of these images shows the Milky Way with a constellation, that probably leads to the aliens planet. And I think this is where the western stone circle is suppose to indicate

Now I smiled IRL. Really.

I don't like to spoil games to myself before playing them, and I thought I'm buying DayZ with Livonia map open to explore its mysteries, and it seems that I'm trying to understand some old, recycled and beaten to death map with old assets, which has been repurposed by adding a not-yet-existing storyline of Hanna and a Yellow King.

And bears, sorry. That's funny.

At least I'm glad I was the first to notice the Morse code, damn.

And I'm not even mad. lol

You were the dirst to decipher it* Kappa
Tbh, good job on this, we tried a faw months ago with friend for like 10 minutes, didn't manage to get anything really interesting out of it.
A secret message was my first thought when i found it, but didn't went further than that

Do post the video when you’re finished! I’d love thereto be some rare loot at the end of this journey or… Aliens!
