Rework the potatoes and fish

Recommended Posts

It really makes very little sense to starve to death with unpeeled potatoes or ungutted fish in your inventory. I propose being able to eat unpeeled potato, but it should give you salmonella and poisoning like when you eat rotten or burnt stuff. And you should be able to cook unpeeled potatoes and it should give you food poisoning like from burnt food, but not salmonella. Same deal with fish - you should be able to eat ungutted fish but it should give you salmonella and food poisoning, and you should be able to cook it but ungutted cooked fish should still give you food poisoning but no salmonella.

It equally makes no sense to starve with a can of beans and no tool to open it. You best believe that if I was starvation level hungry I'd open those beans with the nearest hard object, be it a rock, a sledge hammer or a shovel. And I'd eat off the floor with all the dirt and sand that got in it, while it tastes like a 2 michelin star meal made just for me.
