buried crates

Hi survivors,

On a official server I had 9 buried crates.
All in forrests with sometimes a 1 hour travel between them.
I always make sure to dig them up atleast every 7 days.
On my run to check on them i find 3 are gone and 6 are above ground and have been looted.
Do official servers push crates up at some time for server performance or is there something shady going on?

Someone found them, there is a patch of dirt on top giving away their position and if someone gets close enough they'll see it.

Hmm,i play dayz since it came out and i know i will lose my precious loot at a certain moment but all in one instance ?

Don't stress about it uselessly. They most likely got found by a hacker. With esp hack(look it up on youtube) you can see objects and people through the map. It happened to me aswell. Had a bunch of stashes stay where and how i left them for almost a month,then all of a sudden most of them were gone in one day. And i know for a fact it was a hacker as those gone were the ones with the best shit inside them.
