Please underground base building in official

I loved 7 days to die for the aspect of endless styles of building and survplease bring underground base bunker building to official even if they're 12’by 12’ rooms. Bring underground bunker/base to official please https://chng.it/q8R8LzKnrC

Would this really be feasible in reality. I think it’s a cool idea, but do you have more of an idea for it? Possibly you would need to dig an area out which introduces a new mechanic. Then realistically you would need to make it structurally stable somehow. I like this idea, but how would you like them to go about this?

I can't find the video again but it was a modded server all they did was dug for a seconds it created like a plot when you do a garden but It was a circle then it gave you the option to add supplies like if you were building a shelter once you add it and use your hammer it creates a hatch with a ladder down and it's a dark hole so when you pop a light you could store like 15-20 barrels it was awesome

That does sound great. I imagine people could use that to raid though. If multiple entrances are possible? Thanks for clarifying!

Unfortunately I'm 99% certain that it won't be possible due to how the game is currently set up... you can't create a hole through the map/ground.
Even via editor we cannot do that. Only by creating a custom map we can create underground places.

And usually by tricks. Game was not designed as a true open world environment. It has one major layer of activity - outdoors. Even buildings don't have their interior vibes. Overall "Dayz" vanilla has 3 caves - from which two were mistakes/missclicks and the last one a carefully prepared hole in a wall.

So you guys claim it “cant be done” take the time to look at the video and come back and tell me it can't be done, the clearly do it in the video lol y'all act like y'all are the developers of this game, go on with yourself and self pride this is a suggestion forum if you don't like my suggestion the I suggest you don't bother putting in you negative comments of how it's impossible because they clearly do it in the video

All i see is a little trickery, not actual forming underground by your own ideas and efforts - which "7DtD" allows. I was creating better cells ten years ago in GECK for "New Vegas". There it was the same problem: program couldn't take anything more but workarounds.

It's actually not underground.
Even if it was underground, upon server restarts all objects would be spawned on the surface (same happens with cars in sheds and zombies in houses).

It's a neat little trick where it's placed somewhere around the map out of bounds, and moves your character there in an enclosed "room" that has ground/earthy textures and dark ambience to make it seem like it's underground.
So other people were right, you CAN'T have ACTUAL underground terrain/bases without some trickery.

You can have an enclosed room that looks like it's underground placed somewhere random (maybe in the sky, or out of bounds), + dark filter to make it seem darker than it really is - cause DayZ doesn't support dark lighting, hence why houses look brightly light indoors.
Then combine that room with a hatch model that has "Press F to enter" which actually teleports you to that random location.

So yeah... some clever trickery to achieve a similar but not genuine result. Still a cool mod.

Self pride? C'mon dude, really?  This is a fine suggestion.  It's been suggested so many times.  It can't be done.  Developers have stated this LONG ago.  You can find the developer answer to this in the FAQ thread, which is pinned in the News and Announcement subforum.

I think it’s definitively feasible, but I’m unsure what software would be needed to carve out a chunk in the existing map. 
 

you would need to form basically a box out of the ground and then complete any details like terrain and architecture with different props. It could end up a buggy mess
