Are gasmask useless?

Recommended Posts

Hi,

I was in a city, suddenly I heard a bomb and and noticed a vibration. After a short time, haze spread and I saw the injury symbol. Poison gas! But I had already collected a complete gas mask, because I read in the release notes that there should now be contaminated areas. So, I put on the gas mask. But the number at the injury symbol got bigger and bigger. I had to run out of the fog, but it was a pretty big infested area. Injury symbol was at 4, hardly any blood left. When I had taken care of my wounds, I went into the fog again, immediately irritating cough as a warning. Back again, mask back on and further into the mist, no cough, but the injury symbol appeared again. So are the gas masks useless? It was a complete mask, where I couldn't attach a filter or so.

You need full NBC suit (gloves, boots, jacket, pants, hood) + gask mask to be 100% safe in contaminated area

Very good video, but that seems a bit elaborate to me to protect against poison gas.

The mask (with filter) will stop you getting poisoned, but with no suit it burns your skin. If you have a mask and plenty of bandages, you can escape. TRMZ did a good demo of this.
