Personally I would love to see a smaller digging tool added, say a trowel or something small like that

it would be great for carrying to plant seeds and dig a garden, as well as digging out fences, but wouldn't require a full shoulder slot

yes you can dig out the fence foundations by looking at the upright log and using a shovel or pickaxe and a hoe I believe.

There was a small trench shovel added way back with the ice pick, but for some reason it never seemed to actually appear in the game. It was listed in a changelog (can't remember when)

it would be a great idea for them to simply activate the military paddle that's already in the game, and they could retexturize the regular in-game paddle so the texture should be at least 512p resolution but it's upscale to 2048, and the quality is horrible. https://prnt.sc/1s3roa9
