Weapon/Melee Bug

Whats up with the weapon/melee bug on official servers? I literally had a BK-43 fully loaded, MLOCK fully loaded, sledgehammer... Couldn't shoot my weapons, or swing my melee weapons... this guy ended up slicing and stabbing me and i died after surviving two weeks with that character... mind you after that it happened twice again. once with a IJ handgun that shoots .380, wouldnt shoot, then again with a BK-18. Died all three times... Is this a new bug or whats the deal? I dont expect an answer cause we never get one when it comes to these bugs, is it that hard to clear the bug? Im still playing the game but i gotta say its very disheartning to get into a gunfight or any kind of fight and end up losing when i cant shoot my fully loaded weapons or swing my melee weapons.

 

Anyways.... 1080p 60fps console update wouldn't be too much to ask for right? Thanks devs!

Maybe try sending a bug report ticket on DayZ Feedback Tracker, they acknowledged both of mine reports, and one of them is fixed in their internal build that is yet to release to stable.

Inventory/unability to swap things/reload etc can get bugged, I'm not 100% sure that it's the same thing that you are explaining, but it could be that.

Some things are easier to fix than others.

Thanks man. Yeah its just irritating especially when it takes you hours, literally fended myself off of 3 assholes in the process and end up dying because i cant shoot my gun. Cheers man

Whenever something like that happens - being unable to load magazines, chamber weapons etc - it means you and the server are partly out of sync. The server thinks you have one item in your hands, you think you have another, and because of this any action you try will either not happen at all or trigger even more strange things to happen. The only thing you can do in these cases is to log out immediately and back in again. That will snap you back in sync.

It doesn't  happen as much anymore thankfully, and on the 1.12 experimental it hasn't happened to me once which is very nice.

(They really should add a "reload/resync" button that does a sync reset with the server without actually logging out, or at least skipping the queue. On full servers you don't want to log out to face the queue...)
