Question about 9v battery.

Recommended Posts

What’s the deal with a 9v battery.  Does it start to lose charge from the moment you put it into say a red dot sight for example or does it only loose charge when your aiming with that red dot site ?

Hmm, not sure about scopes. There is obvious battery drain on torches, nvgs, etc.  But I don't tend to use red dot scopes that much so couldn't say for sure.

My guess is that it's only when ads, but I'm guessing.

Yes I get the torch and nvg etc but I’m finding batteries losing charge quickly in things like scopes.  Not much of an issue but just wanted to ask.

Yeah, scopes drain the battery when ads. Not as fast as nvgs and flashlights use them up thou. I still pull my battery from the nvgs when I log as there was a bug, when you logged back in the battery in them would be dead. Not sure if thats still a thing?
