No zombies, no humans and all a bit groundhog day.

Recommended Posts

Hi guys,

So I've been playing this fabulous mod on and off for the last three weeks and initially it did exactly what it said on the tin...zombies everywhere, survival a prime requisite, other players a constant threat or an occasional ally. I absolutely loved it...better than a lot of retail games as the tension was palpable.

But recently (after installing all the new files), I've not been having as much luck. Most of the servers in the menu are crossed out (I'm in the UK and I've yet to be able to join a UK server...I seem to be only able to join DE or FR servers). When I join, I always default to the same position as the start of last game (no matter where I left the last game) but with the current kit. A bit like groundhog day.

To make things worse, I've not come across another player in about a week and on 99% of the servers there've been zero zombies. I've tried to communicate with other players (who've been talking in chat...mainly console commands) but nobody's talked back. It's as if I'm literally out there on my own with no threat (zombies or humans).

Is there something I'm doing wrong...maybe need to install something? I'm at a loss. anyone have any ideas or experiencing similar circumstances?

Cheers,

FG.

i think, but am definitely not positive, that if a server modifies it's night/day cycle such that it is constantly one instant in time forever, nothing will spawn as all zombie and loot spawns are based on time. that could explain why you enter servers with 0 zombies (i'm assuming the debug reads 0 in game).

not sure about the groundhog day thing, sounds like the servers may not synch with the master server/hive/whatever.
