Quick way to Unequip Items in hands to inventory? PC Version

Hi, is there a quick way with PC controls to unequip and item held in your hands back to inventory without going back into the inventory screen? This would be for items not in your hotbar.  Thanks.

Nope. It's either drop it to the ground with G or put it on hotbar so you can unequip it. Equipping something else with hotbar will of course also send it into the inventory too, providing you have room for it or it can go into the slot from which the other item comes.
